Camp Regret - Camp Regret

Since coming together in late 2022, Camp Regret has set out to challenge the boundaries of genre and style, while staying in touch with the ethics and energy that drew them to punk rock decades ago. Formed in the Quad Cities (IL/IA) by Scottie Feller (guitar), Thomas Tapia (drums), Alex Henry (bass), and Jon Burns (synth/vocals), the ex-members of Ice Hockey, Lazer Mountain, and Meth and Goats are recreating the energy that came out of sweaty Midwest basements and the floor joist-bending living room shows of the early 2000s. 

With influences ranging from Fugazi to At The Drive In, and years of personal involvement in the DIY punk scene, Camp Regret have forged an incendiary mix of post-hardcore, art punk, and psych rock. Welding together fuzzy synths, blazing guitar, a tight pocket, and a sassy screamer, the Camp RegretLPfeatures 10 tracks that shine fresh and new, but still ring familiar. Recorded direct to tape by Daytrotter co-founder and analog guru Patrick Stolley, the album hits hard with a unique groove and loads of melody. Never losing touch with their punk roots and youthful spirit, Camp Regret employs socio-political storytelling that weaves in and out of fact and fiction to tell a personal story, while speaking to the universal. The result is a record that is both fun and furious, confident, yet unpredictable.
